The following Speech entitled” Enduring Fraternity “has been made by Young Politician Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin while launching his campaign poster before the traders of Kampala at Energy Center Building on Market Street.

Today we stand to accept that the future of our continent and most especially Kampala Central which am re- expressing interest today 24th October 2013 to be represented in Parliament lies in our enduring fraternity as Ugandans.

From the bottom of our hearts we are convinced that the challenges we go through now including skyrocketed rental charges in a foreign currency and painful loop holes engulfed on importation of goods as well as high heavy taxes cannot be confronted amidst division; the fraternity and solidarity of all traders in having a common voice to our leaders over our grievances is the basis of an enduring fair economy.

When our land lords can’t listen to us simply because we can’t continue paying them doubling rental fees-we remain crippled. When those in authority delay to sit with us whenever we strike-we remain crippled. When our associations and avenues taken to have our say considered are challenged- we remain crippled.

We need a more strong voice, our fraternity and solidarity must not end. Our hope must not die, we know  we can, we believe we will.

I take this honor therefore to launch our campaign poster for 2013-2016. Thanks for joining me here tonight.

God bless you, God bless President Museveni, God bless Kampala and God bless Africa.

Long live National Resistance Movement; long live Kampala Capital City Authority.

Because We Love Our City

Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin.

Heal The Planet President Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin Makes Public HIV Tests.

22nd/Oct/2013

Young politician Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin has broken a record and set a precedent to leaders when he has taken a public HIV test this evening in the Ugandan capital. Kivumbi EX Kampala Central MP Aspirant, President & Founder of Heal The Planet Global Organisation has courageously moved to a Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA HIV/AIDS & Male Circumcision Mobile Facility at Fire Brigade Headquarters amidst whispering from the public done a test and waited for 20 minutes until when his results have come back.

Speaking to a reporter without boarders who has taken an interview of why he has chosen to do it this way and asked if he is courageous enough to show the world his results, Kivumbi says that regardless of the nature of his HIVresults, he wanted to pass a strong message to the leaders like him to be exemplary to their subjects and show them that testing would reduce the spread of HIV.

Kivumbi says that politicians, cultural, religious leaders and celebrities should go for public tests and if possible show there results so as to encourage others.

Kivumbi says he cant go for circumcision since God created him with his fore skin if it was useless, He wouldn’t live it there. He adds that virginity is still pride therefore young people should have it embraced as well as abstinence to those who can.

TERRWODE is leading grassroots NGO taking on the holistic care of women and girls affected by Obstetric Fistula, a condition resulting from severe or failed child birth. A crucial component to treatment and prevention of fistula is the provision of reintegration services for self-employment and stigma reduction. This has been championed in Eastern region of Uganda. A temporary reintegration center in Uganda was launched by the Commissioner, Clinical services, Ministry of Health, Dr. Jacinto Amandua in Soroti Municipality, in June 203. The center complements our field based re-integration approach and thereby, increasing access to quality fistula treatment and management.

Women suffering from Fistula survive death narrowly while giving birth and the majority are victims of child MARRIAGES AND TEENAGE PREGNANCIES. Currently there are 200,000 (two hundred) women living with this condition and 1900 new cases occur annually. Of these, only 1000 receive treatment and yet these still have limited access to quality reintegration services. Generally, 16 women die every day in Uganda due to preventable child-birth complications. TERREWODE & HTP is grateful for the support rendered in expanding the capacity of dignifying Uganda’s “Forgotten” Women.
We are excitedly looking forward to collaborating with you for this cause.

Death of Mukiibi Sserunjogi Has Occurred-RIP CBS News Anchor; Heal The Planet & HICGI

Image;

CBS Journalist who once presented a popular program Kalabalaba & Munsi ne mu bwengula has joined other popular staff like Aisha Ssematiko & Ernest Lule Basajjakambwe who have died in the last couple of years. Its sad news to lose this news reader and as Heal The Planet & HICGI we send our deepest condolences to CBS FM, Friends, relatives and fans of the deceased. May his soul rest in Eternal Peace.

Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin

HTP & HICGI President.

Who is Mukiibi?

In his hey days, Mukiibi’ news reading humour made everyone super-glued on CBS Radio so as not to miss out on news. His political programs where he was daring and fearless made him a darling of the opposition, but brought him in the firing line of the ruling NRM party.

Though he was a journalist, he never hid his true DP colours and used his political programs to throw barbs at NRM for its ‘failures’. No wonder, when CBS FM was shut down, Government singled him out as one of the “stubborn” brains at the station. He was very instrumental in pressurizing government to open CBS along with many other Buganda Radio journalists.

As would be expected, when the Radio was re-opened, Sserunjogi found himself with no job. Government made it a condition he had to leave CBS before it could be opened. After losing his job, Mukiibi took a low profile out of his own choice.

Given his good record and journalistic prowess, he would have easily found a job. But instead, he shortly after contracted cancer of the arm and later, brain tumour which have conspired to make his life a living hell.

Invited as a Guest of Honor on the School Academic day were pupils have been portraying there academic muscles and entertaining parents, Kivumbi has begun by unearthing the genesis of his political & leadership career way back in the kindergarten. “Am grateful that unlike many who have just jumped into politics as an option or for selfish ambitions; I have struggled and worked towards leadership dreams since I was 3 years right in this school where my Mom Esther was teaching.”

Kivumbi has noted that in all classes or schools he attended up to S.6 (A. Level) he was either a time keeper, Head boy, or any other prefect. Kivumbi in 2009 made history when he challenged Bar course students in the Guild Elections at Law Development Center. “I made significant changes also as a Guild President at EDN College of Business & Information Technology associated to ABMA in U.K where I attained an Advanced Diploma in Profession Computing & Information Technology.” Kivumbi adds.

Soft-spoken young fellow has said -upon the school invitation to come and be the Guest of Honor, he had so many programs but decided to come and inspire the young generation who have been performing at their school Academic day.

Kivumbi who has been dressed in a black suit, blue neck tie, white shirt and black shoes has said its at a tender age we must shape the nation and citizens we want.

He says that Homosexuals target students to spread the vice and that corruption must be discouraged way from school to save the nation. He adds that even terrorists who have put East Africa on tension are also recruiting young people. He has attacked individuals who are diverting the Parliament from debating the Pornography Bill and says that African culture requires women to wear decently therefore mini-skirts must not be massaged. “We cannot contain development, civilization at the expense of moral fiber decadency-we must fight this right from stage!”

HTP President & HICGI CEO has asked parents to give time to their children, looking for money and providing basic needs is not just enough.  He has quoted Nelson Mandela who said that “it’s through education that a son of a miner can become the head of mine.” And American Philosopher who said that “When a man empties his warret into his head then nobody can take away what he has got.”

The event and Kivumbi’s speech will be run on the National Television (Star T.V) this week.
